Hello! My name is Rodrigo Castilla, born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, son of a Peruvian father and a Brazilian mother. Since my teenage years, cinema has always been my main professional goal. I have always been fascinated by film soundtracks, but I never considered becoming a professional film composer.
During my four years studying Film at FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado), I discovered that my true passion lies in sound — more specifically in post-production, with a focus on sound design, mixing, and sound editing.
I hold a degree in Film from FAAP and a Sound Design diploma from EBAC (Escola Britânica de Artes Criativas e Tecnologia).

During my time at university, I worked on five short films as the sole person responsible for all sound. Outside of the academic environment, I have already built professional experience with projects such as additional short films, as well as podcasts and television documentaries.

I always seek the best references and design sound with the goal of creating something fresh and authentic that meets the needs of each project. I run multiple tests to find what best fits the narrative, ensuring the sound reaches its fullest potential.

I stay alert to new technologies and industry trends, including the thoughtful use of Artificial Intelligence tools as allies in my creative process.
